POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide support to the Human Resource Manager in the recruitment, hiring and on-boarding processes to support the goals of the agency. This position will provide coordination and organization to the application process including recruitment, first contact interviews, screening and selection duties, coordination of all required reference checks, completion and circulation of employment records, and coordination of the initial training program. Perform all HR programs and processes in areas such as; leave of absences, benefit enrollment, and drug and alcohol testing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist in the process to track all employment applications.
Conduct first contact interviews and selects most qualified applicants for further processing.
Assist in the coordination of the responses of criminal reference checks and driving checks on prospective hires and ensure work eligibility. (work Permit, TB, I-9’s, drug and alcohol testing, etc.,)
Generate suggested starting wages of prospective hires to ensure compliance within approved pay plan.
Data entry and scanning of personnel information and records in to Filemaker.
Assist in the recruitment and marketing of employment opportunities.
Support department efforts on quality control measures and processes.
Assist Human Resource Manager and other management staff with projects and other duties as assigned and coordinate area activities with those of other areas and departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Exceptions must receive prior approval from the Executive Director.
Possess ability to work on a daily basis utilizing standard office equipment.
Proven proficient ability to implement agency rules and procedures, use verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, human relation skills, team working skills, and organizational skills.
